FFA Chapters & 4-H Clubs:
The Liberty FFA Alumni is hosting their twenty sixth annual invitational livestock judging contest on March 14, 2026 at the Liberty High School. Registration will begin at 8:30 AM, contest directions at 9:00 AM with the actual contest beginning at 9:15 AM. The contest will consist of seven or eight rings of livestock; three rings of cattle, two rings of swine, and two or three rings of sheep.goats. There will be a questions class for beef, swine and sheep.
This year again we will have a senior and a junior division. To be considered a junior team all team members must be in the 8th grade or lower. The senior division will be having at least one member of the team in the 9th grade or above. Team members must be in 12th grade or lower. To compete in the senior division, an individual must be in the 12th grade or lower.
Awards in the senior division will be awarded to the top ten individuals and the top five teams overall in the contest. Awards in the junior division will be awarded to the top ten individuals and the top 3 overall teams. There will also be awards for the top overall team in each of the species. The entry fee is $25/team and $7/individual.
A team will consist of four members with all four scores counting towards the team total. Ties will be broken with the question scores. A chapter or club may enter as many teams as they would like.
We will be using a scantron card. Contestants will need to complete the scantron using a #2 lead pencils. I have attached a sample of the scantron we will be using that day. It is found at judgingcard.com. It is the Livestock Form #705A-12. We will have extra alumni members assisting the contestants to complete the scantron if needed.
If you are planning to participate, a RSVP by March 11 is preferred.
