Crab Orchard High School, in Section 24, is seeking a full-time Agriculture Education Teacher and FFA Advisor for the 2026-2027 school year. The new teacher will serve as the second teacher, joining Mr. Aaron Duncan.
Facilities include two classrooms, an ag mech shop, and a food science lab, with the hopes of soon adding a greenhouse. Class offerings for the second teacher will include, but are not limited to: Basic Food Processing, Food Science, Ag Business Management, Basic Ag Science, Animal Science, and Horticulture.
Applicants must have an Illinois Professional Educators License with an endorsement in Agriculture. Salary will be determined based on the collective bargaining agreement and may include the Three Circles Grant.
Crab Orchard's FFA and agriculture program features an active FFA chapter and benefits from the support of administration, community members, and an FFA Alumni Chapter.
