Hello everyone,
FCAE, with funding from the Illinois Ag Ed Line Item, is pleased to launch the inaugural Growing Together Tour, offered in partnership with the IAVAT Recruitment & Retention Committee’s Mentoring Program.
Mentoring pairs are invited to apply for an in-person program visit that includes focused goal setting. The traveling teacher will receive a $250 service contract. We have 20 visit spots available in this first round with preference going to those enrolled in the IAVAT Mentoring Program.
To participate, pairs must complete the visit and submit the follow-up reflection form. We'd like to ask each mentoring pair to apply for only one visit at this time. If additional funding becomes available, a second visit in the opposite direction may be offered.
Timeline:
January 16 – Application Due
January 23 – Acceptance Notifications & W-9 Request
January 28 – W-9 Due
January 30 – Contract Completion Deadline
April 2 – Visit and Follow-Up Form Due
