Vacancy

United Jr./Sr. High, located in Section 4, is seeking a motivated, energetic, full-time agriculture teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The newly hired teacher will work with the current agriculture teacher, Mrs. Corrine Wascher. FFA duties will be shared between the agriculture teachers. United FFA has a long history of a strong, competitive, successful program, and we seek someone who has a desire to continue to support and build the chapter.

The United Junior/High School Ag Ed program is a three-circle program. Currently, there are 240+ students enrolled in Ag Ed in grades 7-12. The United administration, board of education, alumni, and community are very supportive of these programs.

Classes to be taught would be based on the interests and strengths of the successful candidate. Current courses offered are 7th-grade Ag, 8th-grade Ag, Introduction to Agriculture, Ag Science, Horticulture, Ag Mech & Tech, Ag Construction, Animal Science, Vet Science, Food Science, and Environmental Science. The program does not currently offer the CASE curriculum, but CASE-certified instructors are encouraged to apply and bring the curriculum to the program!

The facilities include two classrooms, one office space, a greenhouse, a large woods/mechanics/welding shop, a CNC Plasma Table, an 8-acre Land Lab, and 1-1 computers for students.

Interested candidates should email Mr. Brian Higbee to apply.

Candidates will be paid based on the collective bargaining agreement, including participation in the Three-Circle Grant.

Questions should be directed to Principal Mr. Brian Higbee at brian.higbee@u304.org
